ELECTION INFORMATION FOR 2026
August 2026 Primary
*Early Voting will run Saturday July 25, 2026 through Sunday August 2, 2026 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
*Election Day is Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
November 2026 General Election
*Early Voting will run Saturday October 24, 2026 through Sunday November 1, 2026 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
*Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
We have an established Absent Voter Counting Board of 3 Election Inspectors that will process AV Ballots. We’ll post those days/hours closer to each specific election.
*If you are signed up to be an absent voter permanent ballot recipient, you will be mailed your ballot to your address at the time you signed up. Look out for those in the months of June & September 2026.
*If you would like to become an absent voter, please reach out to our office or you can go online and register at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/

Registering to Vote
Individuals are encouraged to register to vote as early as possible before an election. Methods and requirements for voter registration depend on the following:
- If there are 15+ days before an election
Individuals can register at the Michigan Secretary of State office, online, by mail, or in person.
- Within 14 days of an election, and on Election Day
Individuals may only register by visiting their local clerk’s office to register in person with proof of residency documentation.
- Voters can check their voter registration status at Michigan.gov/Vote
